Here’s another pair of fingerless gloves, this time to a basketweave pattern called Seattle by Nancy Ricci. There’s a pattern and tutorial on Getting Purly With It.
I got to spend half a day watching my son play cricket, so I knitted half of this pair in between handing over drink bottles and trying not to listen to other people on mobile phones.
These are dead easy, knit flat as a rectangle then seam up leaving a gap for the thumb. The pattern site has a link for how to do a nice mattress seam. I used Cleckheaton Studio Mohair, an 8ply / DK. I made them a bit longer than the pattern. The MakeBakeMother says they look like a muted rainbow.
